Our Sunday
Yesterday was a pretty good day, all things considered.
I got off from work around 6:15 am and was able to lay down for about an hour or so before church. Then I put on the new cerulean blue shirt that I bought for church (as well as the dates I want to take my wife out on when we can afford to go out.) and packed the necessary baggage that ll new parents find themselves with, namely diaper bag, baby carrier/car seat, and of course dirty landry. Then we went to church where we heard a very edifying sermon on marriage and the many obstacles to the one-flesh relationship of the marital covenant.
After church, everyone thronged us to meet Abigail. I was worried I might have to beat them off of her with a stick
After church we went through the McDonald's drive-thru for much needed early afternoon refreshments and then went over the my in-laws and had dinner. I took my father-in-law over to the PAC center to have his arm looked at and had a good conversation with him on the way there and back.
To his surprise, I agreed that the time was ripe for me to go back to school. My only legitimate reason, my student loan, is a non-issue. (If you recall from a previous post, my father decided to pay it off for reasons best understood to him alone.)
Kerrie and I laid Abigail down around 10-ish that night and spent some time talking and gazing into each other's eyes. When I look into her eyes, I love what I see. She is so beautiful, not only in how she looks physically, but also who she is on the inside.

If I could speak in any
language in heaven or
on earth but didn't love
others, I would only be
making meaningless noise
like a loud gong or a
clanging cymbal. If I
had the gift of prophecy,
and if I knew all the
mysteries of the future
and knew everything
about everything, but
didn't love others, what
good would I be? And
if I had the gift of faith
so that I could speak
to a mountain and make
it move, without love
I would be no good to
anybody. If I gave
everything I have to
the poor and even
sacrificed my body,
I could boast about it;
but if I didn't love others,
I would be of no value
whatsoever. Love is
patient and kind. Love
is not jealous or boastful
or proud or rude. Love
does not demand its
own way. Love is not
irritable, and it keeps
no record of when it
has been wronged.
It is never glad about
injustice but rejoices
whenever the truth
wins out. Love never
gives up, never loses
faith, is always hopeful,
and endures through
every circumstance.
May She Always
Experience This
Kind Of Love,
Dr. Howdy
